iCOR nominated for the BSI Impact Awards 2026.

20 April 2026

We are pleased to share that iCOR has been nominated for four categories at the BSI Impact Awards 2026: ‘Environmental Impact’, ‘Health, Safety & Wellbeing’, ‘Industry Impact’, and ‘Innovation Impact’.

The Standards Users Awards recognise the successful use of voluntary standards and the benefits of using voluntary standards to drive impact for a fair and sustainable world

The Environmental Impact Category

This BSI Impact Awards 2026 category recognises work that improves sustainability and environmental outcomes using  voluntary standards.

ISO 14001 requires organisations to determine applicable environmental legal requirements, maintain continuous awareness of changes, and evaluate compliance status.

iCOR was built using ISO 14001 as its structural framework. The platform determines which environmental legislation applies to each organisation and automatically generates a bespoke legal register. Monthly updates provide continuous awareness of new regulations. Action planning turns compliance gaps into tracked, assigned actions.

By making ISO 14001 requirements operationally achievable, iCOR creates the stable legal compliance foundation that enables organisations to focus on reducing their environmental impact.

The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Category

This BSI Impact Awards 2026 category recognises work that safeguards physical safety and/or mental health by managing risks to wellbeing and safety using voluntary standards.

ISO 45001 requires organisations to determine applicable H&S legal requirements, maintain awareness of changes, and evaluate compliance status.

iCOR's self-audit tool determines which H&S legislation applies. Monthly updates maintain continuous awareness of new regulations. Action planning ensures compliance gaps become tracked actions. Compliance evaluation provides real-time visibility of the organisation's H&S position. The result is a comprehensive legal compliance register maintained without constant manual updates, freeing EHS teams to focus on preventing workplace harm and protecting worker safety.

The Industry Impact Category

This BSI Impact Awards 2026 category recognises work that makes things work better through industry advancement using voluntary standards.

ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 establish the framework for systematic compliance, but most organisations rely on spreadsheets, consultants, or fragmented systems. iCOR transforms compliance into a dynamic, cloud-based system where all compliance information is interlinked and accessible in one place.

    • The self-audit tool determines applicable legislation and evaluates compliance status.
    • iCOR's in-house specialists maintain the legal register monthly, removing the burden of manual updates across multiple sites.
    • Action planning is systematic and trackable, with a timeline providing transparency to auditors and regulators.

The result is that organisations move from fragmented spreadsheets to a unified system. Compliance gaps are identified and addressed monthly rather than quarterly or annually. Time savings are redirected to strategic actions.

The Innovation Impact Category

This BSI Impacts Awards 2026 category recognises work that enables and embeds innovation to deliver genuine transformation using voluntary standards.

Traditionally, organisations receive static legal registers and must manually determine what applies. They receive periodic updates and must manually integrate them. This manual approach has not changed significantly in decades.

iCOR reverses this model. The self-audit tool asks targeted questions, then automatically determines which legislation applies, eliminating manual interpretation. Monthly updates are pushed directly into the legal register. When users re-audit, they see updated requirements and accept the changes to prove awareness. No manual updating, no trawling through legislation, no dense spreadsheets.

This innovation makes compliance accessible to businesses without specialist EHS expertise. Organisations stay current with regulatory change without administrative overhead. Audit readiness and compliance tracking become manageable at scale. The result: organisations of all sizes can manage compliance thoroughly, a capability previously only well-resourced companies could afford.

The Impact of iCOR’s H&S Module

Having used our Environmental Module to manage their environmental legal compliance, we entered into an innovation partnership with the Port of Tyne to build our H&S Module. Here is what the Port of Tyne compliance team had to say about the impact of iCOR:
